The ORIGINAL CANOPY TOURŪ at Mahogany Park is not only amazing adventure travel but it is one of the most popular ecological jungle tours in the Costa Rica. Plus, with its close proximity to San Jose and Jaco Beach Mahogany Park is the perfect location for the traveler who wants to see it all!
Located in a primary jungle (original growth) of the tropical rainforest, this tour is one of our longest, consisting of 10 platforms from which to "swing", "soar", "fly" and descend.
The tour starts on a hilltop where the first platform (or diving board as we call it) is located. From there you zip to the second and third platforms in an Espavel tree, which is a member of the cashew family. You will rappel or be belayed (a term for a professional lowering technique) down to the third platform where the journey will continue. Special to our Mahogany Park location are wildlife sightings including white-faced capuchin and howler monkeys and many varieties of birds.
TOUR DETAILS:
Duration: This tour lasts about 2 hours depending upon group size and needs. Tours begin at 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm.
